Stamp Duty Changes 2016
I would like to bring a matter to your attention. It was announced yesterday in the Chancellor’s Autumn statement via the BBC, that anyone purchasing a Buy-To-Let property or second home, will be subject to a 3% surcharge on each stamp duty band. This will come into effect as of April 2016.
Work out how much you can afford before you start viewing. Most estate agents have a financial adviser but make sure they’re independent so that you know you’re being shown all the options and getting the best possible deal (tip: look for the blue and white pound sign). It can also help you to act quicker when you find the property you like and increase your credibility as a serious buyer.
On Sunday, 21st June 2015, John Hoole traveled to London from Brighton at 5am in the morning to start the famous London to Brighton Bike Ride. Why the early start? John Hoole was to complete the 54 mile journey to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation, in memory of his friend, Matt Townsend who sadly past away in 2015 due to heart failure.
