Roedean & Brighton Marina


Concepted almost 40 years ago, Brighton Marina is one of Europe’s largest as well as Brighton’s leading lifestyle destination. Boasting so much more than simply somewhere to park your boat with shopping, eating and drinking, sailing, boat trips, diving, fishing, cinema, bowling, fitness suite, casino and a stunning boutique hotel!  Roedean is immediately to the east of the seaside resort of Brighton, England. It is administratively part of the city of Brighton and Hove.

History

The area is also home to a popular private independent boarding school for girls. Their aim is  to provide a stimulating education and exciting extra-curricular opportunities in an environment which is supportive and friendly.  Roedean was founded by three entrepreneurial sisters – known locally as ‘the Firm’. Its purpose was academic advancement: to prepare girls for entrance to the newly opened Girton and Newnham colleges at Cambridge.

Area

Brighton Marina welcomes boats of all sizes, from 5m to 25m for short and long stay visitor berthing as well as annual berthing and boatyard services. The marina offers something for everyone. Brighton Marina is also home to Brighton’s very own Walk of Fame. The city has always attracted an artsy, cultural crowd and this is reflected in its many famous residents, old and new. Explore the Brighton Walk of Fame and discover who has lived and lives in the city – from the roguish Prince Regent to everyone’s favourite superstar DJ, Fatboy Slim.

Local public transport is provided with regular buses in to the Brighton Marina.
